Open Bible, & Derivative Works, License (OB-DW-L) Must read.

Post by Michael_AU » Sun Aug 07, 2016 8:04 am

All information posted in amazing-grace.community is made available under the Open Bible, & Derivative Works, License (OB-DW-L).

Open Bible, and Derivative Works, License. (OB-DW-L)
A. The Bible [1] is a free gift from God and as such is not own by any individual, group, or business.
B. The Bible [1] is free to use, share, transmit to and with others for the work of the Church [2].
C. All information posted on amazing-grace.community sites is in the public domain [3] and is free to use as long as due credit is given to God and the author of the post.
D. By posting on any amazing-grace.community site the author acknowledges their work (Derivative Work [4]) is in the public domain and is free for use without modification as long as due credit is given, as is academically correct, to the author where the information originated. If the Derivative Work is modified due credit, as is academically correct, should be given to the original author for their work within the Derivative Work.
E. Users of amazing-grace.community are allowed to use any Derivative Work in their ministry but are not allowed to charge for Derivative Works provided in good faith by members of this community and are required to give due credit, as is academically correct, to the originating author. As God provided the Bible for free, and members of this community provide their Derivative Works for free to benefit others, end users are also expected and required to provide any Derivative Works they use for free as well.

Footnotes:
[1] Unfortunately some business' do "legally" own "their" version of the Bible so this refers to Bibles that are out of copyright. amazing-grace.community encourages all copyright holders to make "their" Bibles public domain.
[2] The Church is defined as members of the Body of Christ as mentioned in the Statement of Faith, regardless of denominational affiliation.
[3] In this instance the "Public Domain" means anywhere the general public can legally obtain the work for free.
[4] In this instance "Derivative Work" means any idea, piece, lyric, etc, etc. that is derived from the Bible.

Suggestions for changes/additions to the license are welcome.
Michael.
